Our condition today is temporary whether in sin or in faith.

1. Results of sin occurs in the present time
If the pain from sin and joy from righteous living happens today, what does that say about heaven and hell?
2. Turn away from God
3. Our shame and torment from sin teaches us God is good because with God is Love and Peace.

Romans chapters 5-7
Romans 53 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance;  19 For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.
Romans 6: 2 By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?  5 For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. 10 The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God. 12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. 17 But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance. 18 You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness. 20 When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the control of righteousness. 21 What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? Those things result in death! 22 But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in[b] Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 7: 5 For when we were in the realm of the flesh,[a] the sinful passions aroused by the law were at work in us, so that we bore fruit for death. 6 But now, by dying to what once bound us, we have been released from the law so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code. 10 I found that the very commandment that was intended to bring life actually brought death. 11 For sin, seizing the opportunity afforded by the commandment, deceived me, and through the commandment put me to death. 22 For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; 23 but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me.
