The busy life
In our busy world we often find ourselves filling our time. We avoid the silence and stillness. We view meditation as a waste of time. People who just sit may be viewed as unproductive. "I'm too busy has become a common excuse for anything and that excuse is so often condoned. We don't like to wait. We don't like lines or rush hour traffic. We avoid crowds. This kind of life is not the kind the bible says we ought to live.
Filling our lives rushing to do things we do not need to do is not what our Christian biblical leaders teaches us. Instead of soccer games, perhaps family time discussing feelings and yeah, kids need to hear it. We need to say it and kids need to hear it. Kids desire it. Instead we often avoid our feelings by filling our selves with activities. We teach our kids to do the same.
Peace is the goal. We are to seek peace. Our schedules are to exemplify peace. Peace in our minds, hearts, and spirit. We are to be the peace of God. Our refusal to accept and incorporate this idea into our thinking and attitude stems from our dependency upon evil. Patience helps us grow in peace. Peace makes it possible to love. Patience leads to peace and peace leads to love. We can't love is we are often rushing from place to place and activity to activity. If do not love our life as a Christian missing the mark. If we are missing God's plan for us we sin.
