Below is a long list of scripture focusing on mindfulness activity and goals. We ought to be in agreement with each other toward the goal of aligning with God as Christ taught and demonstrated. We ought to increasingly accept responsibility toward Christ's way of living. Everything begins with choice. However, many of us are limited in our understanding upon what choices we have. Through study and seeking God we can learn more choices and improve our selection process. If we can consciously set our minds on the rewarding experiences of spiritual connection in God's love, mercy, forgiveness etc. we may create within ourselves an improved spiritual focused attitude.
Having the right mental attitude can make a huge difference in how we treat others and ourselves. We ought to remember always to love others in truth and sincerity. Yet if we are not used to such proactive responsible thinking our trained/conditioned thoughts on how to react toward situations may unknowingly guide us into ungodly choices or habitual sin. Resisting our instincts or habitual ways and building toward God's love and peace is every Christians calling. This was Christ's purpose... to bring God's people to into God's grace. There is an old saying "you can bring a horse to water, but you can't make him drink." Acting upon God's grace brings the salvation experience. Christ is the water, but we ought to drink.
